Technical Product Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced and ambitious Technical Product Manager to join Positive at a pivotal moment of acceleration.

The need for psychological skills has never been greater, and with a new vision and three-year plan we are chomping at the bit to get going. Reporting into Sinéad (our CPO) you’ll take responsibility for the development of the next generation of Positive products and supporting technology platform. Your goal is to deliver a brilliant and seamless development journey for our clients. This is a high-growth role with significant opportunity for the right person.

The role includes:

  • Reviewing the current customer blended learning experience and identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Working with the CPO to identify new product development opportunities, in line with Positive’s vision and strategy
  • Leading the discovery process to develop new product solutions, using appropriate techniques (wireframing, prototyping, user testing)
  • Gathering and documenting product requirements through user stories, with acceptance criteria
  • Working closely with lead developers to understand and document technical requirements
  • Supporting the senior team to make important ‘build vs buy’ decisions around Positive’s technology-stack
  • Working with internal and external development teams to deliver solutions to agreed scope, timeframes and budgets
  • Using analytics to measure impact and inform product development
  • Keeping the team informed on Positive’s product development roadmap and progress updates
  • Managing Positive’s blended learning content (e.g. Storyline, Articulate 360)
  • Acting as our Technical Security Officer in the maintenance of Positive’s ISO certification

About you


This is a critical role for the business and we’re looking for a very special person for it. You’ll need:

  • A relevant degree and / or product / technology qualification
  • 4+ years’ experience in product management, developing and delivering blended learning products
  • Experience in product management tools and techniques (e.g. story mapping, wireframing, clickable prototypes, interviewing, user story writing, agile delivery)
  • Experience of developing EdTech learning experiences, and working with learning content management platforms
  • A solid understanding of modern web and mobile technologies (e.g. front-end, back-end, native apps, cross-platform apps, RESTful APIs)
  • Experience integrating third party platforms to create a high-quality user experience
  • A portfolio of product development experience you can share with us to show us what you’ve done
  • Experience working in B2B2C SaaS start-up/scale-up environments
  • ISO experience
