Stress: what do you believe?

Stress: overwhelming and unhelpful or key catalyst for growth and performance? We share new insights in this webinar...

Watch now

For many people, the received wisdom that stress is bad turns out to be true – it diminishes attention spans, damages relationships, even causes physical health problems. For others, however, it seems to drive success and be a prerequisite for job satisfaction. So what's going on?

In our new report on the psychological health of professionals during the Covid-19 pandemic, our Insights team revealed that those who believed stress was bad for their health were 5x more likely to report high levels of anxiety, compared to those who didn't – even when stress exposure was the same. Whilst some level of stress is inevitable – now more so than ever – our attitude towards it is entirely in our hands, and evidence is mounting that what stress means to us defines what it does to us.

In this webinar, taking place on National Stress Awareness Day, our experts take a deeper look at the psychology of stress and resilience and how it can help us to cope with the challenges of the present time. We share key insights from our latest research and offer some practical advice for how both you and your teams can develop a healthy, protective mindset that can support you in the months and years to come.
